Barbra, dh and I agreed if we decided to use the name Dallas it'd be as a middle name. Plus I've found that it's a total pain if your kid goes by his middle name...Josh is actually Damian Joshua...and anywhere we go that requires paperwork for him...like drs., dentist, school ect...I always have to tell them he goes by Josh and they still call him Damian :roll:

He's actually never went by that name and there are times they'll call him Damian and he will continue to sit there waiting for another kid to get up :lol:

I'm going to spend some time today going thru a names book...dh doesn't know it yet, but I'm pretty sure he's going to be Evan :lol:

just have to settle on a middle name...what do you guys think would go well with it?

Are there any family names other than Dallas that you would want to use with Evan? What about DH's name/middle name, your dad's name/middle name? I love using family members names for middle names...Hunter's is Barrett after DH's grandfather and Brylie's is Kendall after DH, DH's dad and Dh's grandfather.

When you named Josh, did you intend to call him by his middle name? I know a ton of people who go by their middle names, you would think doctor's offices and such would be used it it by now :lol:

what is dhs dads middle name maybe that can be incorporated into it so that way he is still using his dads name.

My DH has the same problem, Amy. He's never been called Timothy, everyone has always called him Brent which is his middle name. It's been a problem with jobs before, so when he started at wal-mart, he just went with Tim. So everyone at his work knows him as Tim...If I talk about him with anyone up there, they all look at me like I'm crazy when I say Brent. :lol:

The funniest part is he has friends from work who hang out outside of work, and they alternate! One minute they'll call him tim, the next he's brent. It's super weird. :lol:

I do like Evan Dallas though, I don't think it sounds bad together at all! Both are cute names!

Cole, I'm not crazy about dh's name which is Jason :lol:

My dad's name is Jimmy Ray...he goes by Ray (which is what I've called him since I was a teenager)

I had actually intended on calling Josh by Damian (he was named after a character on As The World Turns :lol:

) but once he was born he just looked like a Josh...and it suits him well for his personality.

Dh's middle name as well as his father's middle name is Eugene...which makes me wanna say ewwwwww (sorry if I offend anyone! :wink:

) and dh doesn't like it either. :roll:

I'll come across something eventually...I hope...otherwise he'll be known as #3 :lol:

Nikki, this woman at the drs. office where I take Josh was standing there chatting with us a few weeks back when I took him for his yearly check-up. She was checking us out and looked down at the paper and said Whoops must have grabbed the wrong paper...that's not you! I was like ummm yes it is...she looked at me really weird and was like ohhh okay...The funny part to it was she is a super religious person...I could tell she was thinking why did she name her kid THAT? :lol:

evan dallas ray sounds good ,dallas evan ray too, iv never heard of dallas i like it x
dom wanted dominic junior but im not fussed on his name either but he didnt want just junior x

Amy that's funny! Damian was on our list of names with Grayson, along with Dominic actually, Lorna! :lol:

But neither of the names were ones I could end up seeing me call our child after playing with them in my head for a while, so we kept searching. :lol:

I had to let Grayson fly around a little too, and DH fought me on using his middle name as the first name too (Drake). I just couldn't see him growing up and becoming Dr. Drake Schuler. :lol:

Or anything professional, for that matter. So I vetoed it as a first name. :lol:

I like the name but not as a first name. :lol:

Speaking of name disapproval, I talked to my dad a couple nights ago and got a big "what???" when I told him we were naming this baby Drezden. :roll:

I knew he'd hate it. :lol:

He tried to say I needed to pick a different name, "something more masculine" and on and on. Then I guess he finally realized he's not the parent of this kid and he should shut up, and told me I can name him what I want. :lol:

Ya think?? :lol:

I know a ton of people won't like his name, or will find it odd, but come on, I've heard SOOOO much worse. :lol:

I'm not naming my kid after a fruit, vegetable, or space gear...give me a break! :lol:

There were alot of people who didn't like Damian...my mom drove me crazy wanting me to name him Travis instead...she went on and on about the name Damian...lol...guess what happened in the end? :lol:

I still love the name..but he's just more of a Josh :wink:

I like the name Drezden...it's unique but not too far out there

i like the name drezden too nikki,i like different but its not weirdly different like you'v said er apple they must be insane,doms come up wi ty cruz now(prounonced tie) where the hell as that come from, i also hate the idea of names being shortened, like sheldan they'd call him shell, i dint think my kids could be but archies mates call him arch and harvey harv, evi can you beleive it 3 letters and her friends call her eve,shes still boo boo to me lol x

Lorna is Evi's name pronouced EEEVEE or Ev vee? I have a friend who's Evy and pronounce Ev Vee.

its prounonced like your saying in capitals E V together but fast,not as in something Heavy (does that make sense?)
