The game plan is stitch and put me on progestrogen or however you spell it. I go and see the doctor on July 22nd at 10:30AM and the nurse on July 12th at 2pm. Yes it is very hard to be positive but if I do not I will go crazy with worry. I have decided I just have to do all I can on my part and leave the rest up to God.

They have me on those progesterone shots, and from what I have been told they lower the risk of preterm delivery in women who have delivered preterm by 50%. So it's really a pretty significant percentage considering it's a such a simple treatment (especially when compared to bed rest!) Also, I was told, if nothing else the shots usually buy you time. Women who still delivered preterm on these shots, for the most part, delivered several weeks later than their first baby. I get one shot in the butt every week until 34 weeks now. I'll warn you, the shots will make you pretty sore in that area for a few days because of how thick the stuff is, but obviously it's worth it! It'll be ok this time, it sounds to me like they're being very proactive about your treatment this time. And staying positive is the best thing you can do! :D :D :D

Thanks Niki and Lorna I have had two c sections now and they are not as bad as what people think they are. I actually healed faster from the C section then I did after had my oldest vaginally.

after my c-section i think it took me about a two weeks to be completely healed. I am also very very independent and cant stand to be told what i cant do and i was washing clothes and everything within the first 3 or 4 days. all though my hubby had to give me showers for like two weeks

Why did your hubby have to give you showers? I think that was one of the easiest things to do.

Lorna I think my 2 c-sections were better than the vaginal birth as well.

now a days tho, most Drs don't want to do V-backs. It isn;t as safe as they once thought, and the yalso don't want to get sued.

whats v-backs jen??
im just worried barbra coz iv had 3 really easy labours and births, i was out after 6hrs with harvey ,i was in labour an hour with evi including birth,i did stay overnight with her coz docs that check mum n baby to discharge you had gone home. but if i have a section iv no help what so ever with the others,i have to walk 3 kids to school in morning,go back and pick evi up at 11.30 go back again for the boys, then if one stays behind for football or something i have to go back again, dom works from 6 till 6 so iv got to do everything, also every op iv had in past iv ended up on antibiotics for a infection,so i know i'll take longer to heal :-(
nikki why you on the shots? because of last time or is your baby being impatient ? xx

I'm on the shots because of grayson being early. Since my cervix has opened before now, and knows what to do so to speak, its possible this one could come earlier than he did even. I've also had contractions a few times so they're keeping an eye on me. I'll be getting a steriod shot at 28 weeks for his lungs too, just in case. Prematurity is so unpredictable, so they'd rather be cautious.

a V-back is a vaginal birth after a c-section. Alot of Drs won't do them at all any more. When I had Paige they were pushing everyone to have them, but they now found out they are not as safe as once thought.

aahhhhh i see now, here its a matter of why you had a c-section previously, like a friend of mine her pelvis is too small so she'll never give birth naturally, another girl's baby was breech so they said there's no reason what so ever she cant have a natural birth next time, saying that i dont know anyone who as had a natural birth after a c-section,do you ?? xx

i never dilated past a 4. i think the dr broke my water too soon. i was only in the hospital like 20 mins and he broke my water. (not my original dr just the one on call.) and from there i just stopped dilating.

Jen my snl just had a baby a year ago. They were gonna let her have it naturally if she wanted to and she had a c-section only 2 yrs before that. They say atleast 3 years to completly heal before you can have a natural labor. well thats what my dr told me
