thats a great email,you should also tell your local newspaper too and what you'v sent the hospital,hope they reply quickly,keep us updated x

I'm going to give the hospital a few days to respond then im going to go to the newspaper

I got an email today from the manager of the maternal infant child program today. She wants me to call her so we can talk personally about my concerns. I sure hope shes still there after 5pm cuz I can't really talk to her while Tessa is running around....shes doesn't like when im on the phone!!!!

Great! I'm glad you got a response. I bet anything they will be seeing it your way soon. They better! My first thought was exactly what you said too; if it's ok to do it in any public place, how is a hospital any different???

exactly nikki if they like that in hospital no wonder supermarkets and other places stick their noses up,some supermarkets here have a baby changing and feeding room,it was in the paper te other day a bus driver made a lady get off, as her baby was screaming and i old man complained he felt uncomfortable she wrote to the papers ,i guess the grumpy old man would have complained anyway tht the baby was making him stressed crying

Throw a stink about it. You deserve to get your way on this because what you want is best for you baby. It's not a selfish request by any means. You should have told that nurse that the hypothetical 80 year old man that hypothetically may be laying next to you in recovery may hypothetically offend you when he shards himself! And hypothetically you may end up with another c-section recovery next to you and you both can be hell raisers for not allowing your newborns to feed in what all doctors are supposed to say is the healthiest choice for your baby and ask if that's really want they want. But that's just me. I turn into a huge bitch when people say stupid crap like that. Just say, either you allow me to breastfeed my child or be guaranteed that I will make sure everyone else in that room has the most uncomfortable and annoying recovery process until they hand me my child to feed him/her. I don't know how Canada works, but in the States mothers have every right to breastfeed in a public setting. And personally, recovery should be a private matter. Ugh... can you tell I'm getting angry for you?

I called this morning and got the machine. Called back 10 minutes later adn the machine again....called again after 15 minutes and still the machine. I left her a messege telling her I get off work at 2 and will call her at 2:30 (hoping she would be by the phone if i warned her) but again with the machine. I waited 10 minutes then left a messege with my number for her to call me back and she never did call. Maybe tomorrow!

She better call back!!!

I would have warned in the message that a call would be appreciated to save yourself the hassle of exploiting they ridiculous policies by way of every local news station and paper you can find in the yellow pages.

Well still no call today! I;m going to call tomorrow and email her on the weekend if i dont get a call back.
