Not really. I failed my one hour glucose test, my 3 hour will be on Thursday. How irritating. I had a feeling I should go with statistics over what the dr said he **thought** might happen. I let myself get all excited when I realized they hadn't called yesterday, and when I called this morning I found out they just dropped the ball. Figures. Then on my way home from work they called me with my results. Gee, thanks, I called this morning and have already scheduled my 3 hour, dumbass. So Anyway, I'm already sure of where this is going. I hope not, but realistically I have a 10% chance of not having it, and I failed my one hour. Not looking so optimistic at this point.

Oh!! And I'm anemic. YAY!

ohhh i see but whats the drink do??? we just have a blood test here ,or if the wee as too much sugar in at a appointment they'll take some blood and test it x
i had my blood tested for anemia nikki too monday, said she'll call if i need iron tablets, but i still take my predicare vitamin a day with iron in so im thinking i'll be ok x

Anemia sucks... My iron tablets sat worse in my tummy than my prenatals... And at 6 months post, I was still having issues anemia.
I'm sorry to hear that, and hopefully your 3 hour turns out better than your 1.
Lorna, the drink is pure sugar so they can get more definite results at how well your body breaks down sugar. It's awful. I had to take it and for the hour it needs to sit, had to have an ultrasound and was so wired I almost bounced off the table. I thought for sure I'd fail my test.

Yeah the iron pill suckkkkkk Give you the WORST constipation too. I had it with Grayson too, so I'm not surprised. I think it's super common, these little parasites just really suck the life out of us huh?? My drink was only 10oz, and it's not as sugary as the 3 hour one will be. That one tastes like hell...it's 3 times more sweet than the 1 hour...like drinking syrup almost. It's so nasty. The crappy part is you HAVE to drink the drink within 5 mins of starting. That is hard to choke down in 5 mins! I'm sooooo not looking forward to tomorrow morning.

I had to do the 1 hour and i passed it but they sent me for the 3 hour anyways....cuz diabetes runs so strongly in my family. they said they ment to send me for the 3 hour but filled out the wrong paper. I agree the 3 hour drink is worse. And they told me if i dont keep it down i have to drink another one!!! Well didn't that make me gag even more (or atleast i think it did because i didnt have a problem with the 1 hour one, then again it could just be that the 3 hour one tasted worse) I ended up passing the 3 hour too. But i was totally expecting to fail. It would have just been one more thing to add to my list of pregnancy problems!!!! LOL I sure hope i pass this time too....sorry Nikki.

No, you're right, the 3 hour one really does taste worse, because it really is 3 times more sugar in it...I wasn't just saying that. I asked the lady when I did it with Grayson, because I didn't remember the one hour being so freakin nasty; and she told me it is 3x more so they can see how the body breaks it down over time better. YAY!

does every pregnant lady have to do it ewwww a can of id gag for sure,but im a freak so id probably like it haha x
